The Tiger Woods Scandal

For the better part of a decade, Tiger Woods was considered the role model of every sports fan in America and around the world. Weekend after weekend, everyone would watch and wish they were him. His golf stroke was a thing of beauty and he was arguably the most popular sports figure in the world. After recent happenings, that status may have changed.

The scandal that now engulfs Tiger Woods is deeper than any sand trap he has had to blast out of. With more than 10 women now coming forward as his mistresses, Tiger's image is more than tarnished, it is ruined. His popularity has gone from a 91% two months ago to a 37% this past week. Although no major sponsors have dropped him yet, they have pulled his ads off of the air. You do not see him on TV at all anymore. The scandal has particularly drawn the ire of many, not because of what he has done, but because of the two children he has and the impact on them and his younger fans. The rumors are now running rampant that his wife will request a divorce and move to Sweden with the kids. His own mother has expressed disappointment and anger over his antics and his golf partners don't know what to say.

Tiger will probably play golf again and do so with a winning edge. This scandal, however, might now be what he is most associated and remembered for. It is surely not the legacy that his father expected for him.
