Britney Spears Wedding

Girls wearing pink with “Hot Mama’s” printed on the dresses and boys wearing white warm-up suits with “Pimps” printed on them went to Club X located on Sunset Boulevard on October 16, 2004 for the surprise wedding reception for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. Britney wore a short, strapless white dress by designer L’Huillier and Kevin wore a custom made, traditional tuxedo during their five minute ceremony consisting of a couple of I DO’s on October 6, 2004. Britney did have some tradition though by carrying a pink and white rose bouquet and wearing a long, white veil and a tiara.

The menu consisted of chicken fingers, mini cheeseburgers, Waldorf salad, barbequed ribs and crab cakes. The twenty or so guests were a bit taken back when they were informed they had to purchase their own alcohol. The guests were required to sign affidavits agreeing that no pictures would be taken during the ceremony. The guests received gift bags consisting of a pair of Gap jeans, a pair of Nike shoe laces, Chewy Juicy sweets and a silver teardrop key ring with an image of the newlyweds.

They honeymooned in their hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana followed by going to Baton Rouge’s Mall of Louisiana. Britney has since stated, “I think I married for the wrong reasons. Instead of following my heart and doing something that made me really happy, I just did it for the idea of everything.”
