Beyonce and Jay Z Married

Beyonce and Jay Z's relationship has been the source of many rumors, the subject of many whisperers and the objective of paparazzi. Celebrities often receive attention for things that ordinary people do every day, generally because they do it in extraordinary ways. A middle class woman might receive an engagement ring worth a few thousand dollars as a pledge of commitment from her fiance. Beyonce has been sporting a ring worth $5 million, and it's debatable whether it technically is even a wedding ring, and not just a nice piece of jewelry. However, the 18 carat diamond and the location of the ring on her hand point to its significance in her marriage.

Beyonce and Jay Z married on April 4, 2008, but had dated extensively for several years before then, but unlike some couples, such as Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas, it was not very public. The wedding was a very private affair, and raised questions as to whether or not it had actually taken place. It is understandable that two people would want privacy, especially since they are in the public eye for such a large portion of their lives. However as the most highly paid couple in Hollywood, it is also understandable that they should capture the public interest as much as they do. People simply want to see how they live and dream of living like that someday.

The relationship itself is quite unique among the celebrity world. Unlike many famous people, Beyonce has not dated every man to cross her path. If her account of the matter can be taken to be credible, Jay Z is her first relationship. However, this is assuming that she has simply not kept previous relationships as quite as she and her husband have attempted to keep this one. Now that they are married, Beyonce and Jay Z say they are ready for a family. Beyonce wants a couple boys and a girl and Jay Z wants at least one child.
