Paris Hilton Bio

Paris Hilton has made a name for herself in many ways, some admirable, and some less so. Unlike some celebrities who have climbed the social ladder from rags to riches as it were, Paris Hilton has never known life not in luxury. Perhaps because of this elite lifestyle from day one, she has become idolized by mere "ordinary" people. Paris Hilton's bio is the subject of many magazines and conversations, whether she does something nobody else has done, or is simply going about her daily routine (not that there is necessarily any actual difference between the two).

Paris Hilton, heiress of the Hilton Hotel chain was born in New York City to Richard and Kathy Hilton. She has three younger siblings, Nicky, Conrad and Barron. The family moved a few times when the children were growing up, but always lived in luxury. One of their residences was in the famous Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York. This hotel was founded by the German-American Astor family, and named after Walldorf, Germany.

Later the Hiltons moved to Beverly Hills, California. Paris attended Buckley School in Sherman Oaks and there met Nicole Richie, who became her close friend. Nicole and Paris later did a TV series, The Simple Life, which chronicled their travels across America. What made the show unique was that Nicole and Paris had both come from wealthy families and the associated luxury and comfort, but while making the show had to perform manual labor and difficult work to survive. The show was intended to be a comedy, which was fortunate since the adjustment from riches to rags was anything but smooth. The girls were fired from a few jobs and generally caused havoc wherever they went.

Paris Hilton also appeared on screen in other productions, notably House of Wax. In addition, Paris has been involved in modeling since childhood, and has recorded several vocal albums and singles, and has written an autobiography.
